Foundation (DLF) is seeking a Development and Communications
Manager to join our midtown New York City office. The Development
and Communications Manager plays a key role in advancing DLF’s
mission by supporting strategic development and communications
initiatives, leading donor engagement efforts, and overseeing
essential development and communications operations functions. The
ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who
excels at building relationships, managing projects and systems,
and translating strategy into effective action in a small
dynamically paced office. About the David Lynch Foundation The
David Lynch Foundation (DLF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
founded in 2005 that addresses the epidemic of trauma and toxic
stress among at-risk populations and under resourced through the
implementation of the scientifically research and evidence-based
Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique. DLF has earned broad
public interest and support for its work and continues to focus on
fundraising and advocating for program delivery and best-in-class
research towards a long-term goal of achieving scalability and
sustainability for TM programs. Position Overview The Development
and Communications Manager is responsible for enhancing and
optimizing the DLF’s fundraising efforts through strong donor
engagement, efficient development operations, accurate data
management, and integrated communications. This role ensures that
fundraising systems, technology, and messaging work together to
support revenue growth and donor stewardship across the
organization. The Development and Communications Manager reports to
the Vice President, Development and works closely with colleagues
on a small development team as well as with finance and program

Qualifications At least five (5) years of experience in nonprofit
development operations required, with donor relations and/or
communications experience helpful. A mission-driven mindset,
professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for relationship-building,
combined with a familiarity with DLF’s mission and/or the field of
mental health and wellness. Demonstrated skill and experience with
gift processing, data entry, and reporting. Advanced proficiency
and skill with Salesforce (or a comparable CRM) in a non-profit
environment required, preferably at an administrator level with the
experience generating reports and managing workflows. Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, including grant reporting
and storytelling Exceptional organizational and project management
skills with strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a
fast-paced environment. Experience with social media management,
digital marketing, or content development a plus. Strong
proficiency with Google Workspace (including Gmail, Calendar,
Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (including Word,
Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as the ability to learn new
