Leveraging its vast network of physicians and healthcare experts, CarePoint is quickly becoming recognized as a leader in the broader healthcare landscape as it pioneers creative solutions to address urgent population health needs.What You'll Be Doing:Performs a variety of duties such as assisting physicians with patient care; handling clerical, environmental and organizational tasks; Provides information to patients regarding clinical services.The successful candidate will be able to:Fulfill patient care responsibilities, including checking schedules and organizing patient flow.Accompany patients to exam/procedure room and assists with walking transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exams etc.Obtain patient demographics and information.Understand and maintain patient confidentiality during check-in procedures.Prepare patient record/chart.Perform screenings as per provider guidelines.Understand proper hand washing procedures.Accurately determine systolic and diastolic pressures.Assist nurses with a variety of procedures.Relay instructions to patients/families.Answer incoming calls.Perform other related duties as required and assigned.What We're Looking For and What We Offer:High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).Bilingual Spanish a must.Medical Assistant Diploma.RMA, AMT or AAMA Certification.EMR: eClinical Works a plus.CPR Certification.Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience.Minimum of one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant or externship completion in a medical office.What We Offer: ---Competitive pay ---$2500 sign on bonus! ---Medical, dental, and vision insurance ---401k with Company match ---Generous paid time off ---Paid Holidays ---Tuition Reimbursement ---Advancement and career development opportunities Covid-19 and Influenza Vaccinations are a requirement for employment at CarePoint Health.
