Job Description Job Description Staff Management Group is seeking a Packing Mechanic Technician for our client in Hillside, NJ. Schedule: 3rd Shift: 10PM - 6:30AM Pay Rate: $25 / hour Job Summary: The Packaging Mechanic Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining packaging machinery to ensure smooth and efficient production. This role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with equipment such as KHS, SMI, or Douglas packers, and a commitment to safety and GMP compliance. The ideal candidate is bilingual, dependable, and able to support both production and maintenance teams in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities: Operate and monitor packaging machines to ensure consistent production flow. Execute equipment changeovers and startups with precision, safety, and efficiency. Diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and carry out basic equipment repairs. Inspect product quality regularly and report deviations immediately. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area in line with GMP and safetystandards. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to enhance performance andreduce downtime. Job Requirements: MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish At least 3 years of prior experience with KHS, SMI, or Douglas packers strongly preferred. Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required. Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment. Flexibility to work various shifts or hours as needed.
