Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in environmental solutions,
is seeking a dedicated Side Load Truck Driver to join our team in
the U.S. Northeast region. This position offers the opportunity to
be part of a crucial sector, ensuring effective waste management
through efficient transportation and logistical support. The ideal
candidate will handle responsibilities including the operation of
side load trucks to collect waste, ensuring safety and compliance
with environmental regulations. We pride ourselves on maintaining

community. Operate side load waste collection trucks within
assigned routes in a safe and efficient manner. Perform daily
inspections on vehicles to ensure operational safety and compliance
with standard maintenance procedures. Identify and report any
safety issues encountered on-route or with the vehicle. Work
cooperatively with team members and supervisors to ensure top-level
service to customers and adherence to company protocols.
Participate in training sessions for safety and compliance updates.
Ability to operate heavy machinery, specifically side load trucks.
Knowledge of traffic and safety regulations. Strong time management
skills to maintain timely route schedules. Basic mechanical
knowledge to perform daily checks and minor repairs on vehicles.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. A
waste industry-specific certification, such as SWANA’s Waste
Collection Safety Certification, is desirable but not
mandatory.
