Salesforce, and Wells Fargo to deliver EMBERPOINT™, an initiative
designed to transform wildfire prevention, detection, and response
across the United States. EMBERPOINT integrates advanced sensing
technologies, artificial intelligence, and real-time
command-and-control capabilities to help detect wildfires earlier,
prevent escalation, and improve coordination between first
responders, utilities, and emergency management organizations. To
support this mission, we are building a scalable cloud-based data
platform that enables rapid ingestion, storage, and analysis of
large volumes of operational and sensor data. We are seeking an
Oracle Cloud Database Architect to architect, deploy, and operate
the databases that power these mission-critical applications and
analytics pipelines. THE WORK As the Oracle Cloud Database Manager,
you will design and operate database environments that support the
EMBERPOINT data platform. These databases will integrate with
streaming ingestion pipelines and data lake services to enable
real-time analytics, operational applications, and predictive
wildfire intelligence. You will work closely with data engineering,
platform engineering, and application development teams to ensure
the platform delivers high availability, strong performance, and
secure data management. Key Responsibilities · Architect, deploy,
and operate relational and non-relational database environments in
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. · Manage Oracle Database and
Autonomous Database platforms supporting application and analytics
workloads. · Integrate databases with streaming ingestion
technologies such as Kafka or OCI Streaming. · Support integration
with object storage and data lake environments. · Implement and
manage replication, high availability, and failover architectures.
· Design and maintain backup, snapshot, and point-in-time recovery
(PITR) strategies. · Optimize database performance through query
tuning, indexing, and workload analysis. · Implement and maintain
security, encryption, and governance controls to protect sensitive
data. WHO WE ARE Our team is building the cloud and data
infrastructure that powers next-generation wildfire detection and
response technologies. We work at the intersection of cloud
engineering, large-scale data platforms, and mission-driven
technology designed to protect communities and critical
infrastructure. We value engineers who combine strong operational
expertise with a systems perspective and who enjoy building
reliable, scalable data services. WHO YOU ARE You are a database
professional who understands how modern data platforms operate in
cloud environments. You bring experience managing high-availability
database systems and integrating them with streaming data pipelines
and cloud storage platforms. You are comfortable working across
teams to ensure databases are secure, performant, and aligned with
evolving platform architecture. You enjoy solving complex data
infrastructure challenges and enabling analytics and applications
to operate at scale. Basic Qualifications · Experience
