Job Description:
As a Data Center Technician at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you
will be pivotal in maintaining the physical infrastructure and
operational status of data center operations globally. This role
calls for an individual passionate about technology, highly skilled
in physical and software troubleshooting, and adept at managing
multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. You will
be part of a diligent team ensuring that our data center's complex
systems operate seamlessly to support AWS’s expansive cloud
computing services. Monitor and maintain mechanical and electrical
systems throughout the data center to ensure operations run
smoothly. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
quickly and effectively. Participate in the physical deployment of
networking and server technologies. Perform routine preventative
maintenance on all data center equipment to prevent disruptions.
Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to enhance system
efficiency and reliability. Document technical problems,
resolutions, and processes for maintenance and troubleshooting.
Assist in data center capacity planning and the development of
failure analysis methods to identify possible future challenges.
Strong knowledge of networking hardware, protocols, and media,
including cabling and wiring systems. Experience with Linux and
Windows server environments, virtualization technologies, and
managing large-scale deployment of server hardware. Ability to
diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues. Effective
communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in database
