Job Description:
What will you be doing? Barclays Services Corp. seeks AVP,
Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available): 1. Design
and implement libraries in Java, and Python that align with our
strategic objectives. 2. Develop and maintain reusable libraries,
ensuring compatibility with various applications for automated
solutions across Post Trade Technology. 3. Architect, build, and
maintain scalable and robust cloud-based applications and
infrastructure on AWS, BCP, SIK. 4. Work closely with software
developers, to create cohesive and efficient technology solutions.
5. Utilize advanced technical knowledge to solve complex challenges
in software development and data processing. 6. Act as a mentor to
junior engineers and contribute to the teams knowledge sharing and
professional development. 7. Stay abreast of the latest technology
trends and advancements, adapting and integrating new technologies
where beneficial. 8. May telecommute. Salary / Rate Minimum/yr:
$173,250 per year Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $175,000 per year The
minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only
base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another
type of compensation or benefits that may be available. Barclays

Purpose of the role To design, develop and improve software,
utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides
business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers
and colleagues. Accountabilities Development and delivery of
high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned
programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is
scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers,
and other engineers to define software requirements, devise
solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment
with business objectives. Collaboration with peers, participate in
code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge
sharing. Stay informed of industry technology trends and
innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s
technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence
and growth. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate
vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software
solutions. Implementation of effective unit testing practices to
ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. Assistant

difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
