Modis is looking for top talent for a Systems Administrator Job in Jersey City, NJ with a Fortune500 company. Accountable for Change Management, Incident and Problem management reporting and analysis, creation and maintenance of Service Level Agreements, management communication, client relationship management with assigned application areas, and/or coordination of multiple staff involved in internal/external customer file transmission implementations. Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members as well as overall team management responsibilities. Functional knowledge of the application(s) supported and interdependencies. This individual may lead several teams that may cross project boundaries, but typically will be responsible for both deliverables and projects.
 
Technical Skill/Experience Requirements:

• 
  

• Priorities: Linux based with automation deployment, Red Hat Enterprise Edition, Solaris, Shell Scripting, and AIX
• 6-8 years’ experience in Deploying and Operating Linux with a strong bias towards automated deployment and operations experiences.
• Experience supporting AIX POWER (6.x, 7.x) and RedHat Enterprise Linux servers (5.x, 6.x) in a large enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting and macro’s
• Storage work in Oracle Rac environments in both Linux and AIX environments.
• Thorough understanding of storage related technologies from a server perspective; working with provisioned SAN, NAS, external/remote storage media, etc.
• Solid experience with clustering, load balancing and high availability solutions (HACMP, GPFS, etc)

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences that include peers, partners, AD partners, senior management, and customers
• Strong documentation skills with experience designing system design diagrams, application flow diagrams, and other related technical documentation.
• Leadership abilities: ability to drive discussions with client, provides leadership for UNIX team members, and explains complex issues to AD partners and senior management.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Must be able to remain focused on critical deliverables while remaining aware of simultaneous communications and issues.
• Professional customer-focused attitude at all times, even during situations of disagreement.
• Understanding of and experience with change management concepts, processes, and tools.
• Enterprise level experience in the financial industry
