Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient Neurosurgery (Cerebral & Vascular Division) Location: New York, NY Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday Department: Cerebral & Vascular Neurosurgery Setting: Outpatient ClinicPosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Outpatient Neurosurgery Clinic in the Cerebral & Vascular Division, part of one of the nation's leading academic health systems located in New York City. In this position, the NP will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, and specialized providers focused on the care of stroke patients and other complex cerebrovascular and spinal conditions. The ideal candidate brings clinical expertise in neurosurgery (spine and central nervous system) and has at least 1-2 years of NP experience in a neurosurgical or cerebrovascular setting.Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, manage follow-up care, and develop treatment plans for patients with cerebrovascular and spinal conditions, including those recovering from stroke.
• Collaborate closely with attending neurosurgeons and other members of the care team in an outpatient setting.
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide patient education, including post-surgical care instructions and stroke recovery support.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging studies, and lab work relevant to neurovascular and spinal care.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EMR system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.Qualifications:
  • Current NYS Nurse Practitioner license and Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP or FNP).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of NP experience in neurosurgery, ideally within cerebrovascular and/or spinal surgery settings.
  • Experience working with stroke patients in either an inpatient or outpatient role strongly preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and a patient-centered approach
