MHA is an approved site for the New Jersey Behavioral Healthcare Provider Loan Redemption Program.The Mental Health Association is seeking a Licensed Clinician (Mental Health Clinician) for our Criminal Justice Reform (CJR) Program in Essex County. FT or PT hours may be arranged.The goal of Criminal Justice Reform is to promote recovery through engagement, assessment of readiness for change, and linkage of individuals who have a mental health diagnosis and who are approved for pre-trial release and jail diversion to mental health treatment, financial, housing and other needed services.CJR services are consumer-centered outpatient mental health services. CJR offers outpatient therapy, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management to individuals 18+ who reside in Essex County, NJ. The CJR program is designed to work in a collaborative partnership with you by helping gain access to needed medical, social, educational, vocational, recreational and other services and resources.Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• LCSW or LPC
• Experience with SMI and -the -forensic population is preferred.Responsibilities
  • Completes community based Mental Health Evaluations and provides evidence-based therapy utilizing CBT/DBT, IMR and Harm Reduction techniques with the criminal justice population.
  • Provides re-entry planning, linkage and referral to community resources following release from the county correctional system and jail diversion from local municipalities.
  • Participates in team and monthly community provider meetings.
  • Electronic Clinical -Record keeping -will be required -as -indicated -by funding sources and/or accreditation agencies.
  • Supervisors must meet all expected productivity levels -for -direct service provision to consumers.Location
