Job Description:AVP will lead the Physician Recruitment
Division.
Leads team in developing infrastructure, training, reporting, and
process improvements for cost-effective, expeditious and successful
placement and retention of highly qualified physicians.
Collaborate and provide insight to Senior Leadership on strategies
for physician recruitment and clinical program development
Directs the interview and hiring process of physician recruiters,
managers and specialists to meet the growing demands of the
system
Oversight of the training schedules for training/orientation of all
new members of the Physician Recruitment team
Meet regularly with physician recruitment manager to provide
guidance on candidate interactions, active transactions, internal
contracting policies, and future development
Lead Executive Leadership searches, including design and content
creation for the candidate/position prospectus, communication with
search committee, screening of prospective candidates, and support
through the contracting process
Manage additional attending level searches as volume demands
Provide regular updates to Senior Administration and their
designees on status of all searches
Provide monthly reports to Senior Vice President of Physician
Services and others on active and completed searches, as well as
details on key areas of focus
Provide insight, guidance and support for sourcing of physician
candidates via job boards, email blasts, contact through
organizations/associations, cultivating internal referrals, direct
mail, telephone calls/cold calls, residency/fellowship programs,
working with recruiting vendors, attendance at conferences, and
through additional sourcing techniques, as identified
Lead the Resident Development Initiative through continued outreach
to residency and fellowship programs, leading career workshops,
1-on-1 consultations, and other events
Regular inservices with recruitment team members to ensure internal
standards are met
Oversight of workshops and orientation presentations to further
support the Resident Development Initiative
Collaborate with other Medical Group and system leadership to
maintain strong working knowledge of physician employment
agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation and
benefits in order provide instruction/guidance to physician
recruitment team
Collaboration with SVP, Physician Services and Finance on annual
recruitment budget
Provide training and guidance for physician recruiters to ensure
robust understanding of the health system and regional
communities
Prepare reports and/or analyses as needed to support Senior
Leadership and/or Service Line Leadership on evolving market
norms
Partner with Legal to create and update standardized agreements for
work with outside search and locums companies
Manage relationships with locums companies, including confirming
active contracts
Oversee vendor management process and facilitate new contracts or
renewals with vendors that provide our database systems, job
boards, and other companies that support physician recruitment
efforts
Collaborate with other Medical Group leadership to ensure physician
recruiters effectively hand-off physicians following signature of
contract to Operations, Medical Staff or other entities to
facilitate the onboarding process
Participate in other duties and responsibilities as assigned in
order to recruit and retain physicians.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Minimum of 10 years' experience in healthcare, recruiting, sales,
marketing, or recruiting background is preferred.
Proven experience in management of recruitment team, physician
recruitment management clearly preferred.
Superior marketing and public relations skills with the ability to
communicate clearly and professionally, and present practice
opportunities in a positive manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including
superior grammar and proofreading skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all
levels of the organization
Ability to demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with
internal and external clients, including administrators,
physicians, peers, and support staff.
Exhibit a high energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as
a team, with flexibility in work habits to schedule and meet the
needs of the medical staff.
Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize a large volume of
detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and
follow through to accomplish results.
Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to,
Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to conduct Internet research in an efficient,
productive manner.
Valid driver's license required and means of
transportation.
