Job Description:
A health system in Suffolk county, Long Island, is looking for a Director of Epilepsy to join their growing neurology team. About the Opportunity:
- Location: Suffolk County, Long Island
- Specialty: Neurology/ Epilepsy
- Hours: M-F Business hours Responsibilities:
- The physician will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and will direct the Epilepsy team by reviewing studies and providing clinical and administrative oversight of patients throughout the area.
- Also responsible for promoting effective patient safety and
performance improvement initiatives to improve processes and
outcomes of patient care for epilepsy patients.Requirements:
- M.D. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine.
- Completion of Medical Residency with Board Certification
- Currently licensed as a physician in the State of New York
- Completion of Epilepsy fellowship & 10+ years is preferred.
