Unit Managers are primarily responsible for overseeing day to day
patient care, supervising, directing and developing nurse staff,
and reporting to the Director of Nursing to ensure quality patient
care within a long-term care center, skilled nursing facility or
assisted living community. Unit Managers are liaisons between
residents and their families. Unit Managers are tasked with
ensuring their unit complies with federal and state regulatory
standards and follows company policies and procedures.
Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal
rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a
position to understand service requirements.
Maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Must hold valid New Jersey State RN License
LTC Experience Preferred
Basic computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or
other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse
Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures,
as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to
nursing care centers.
