Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer with
expertise in stormwater management and erosion control. The
successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing,
and overseeing the implementation of systems and projects that
manage stormwater runoff, reduce erosion, and protect water quality
in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, review, and implement stormwater management systems
including detention/retention basins, drainage structures, green
infrastructure, and Low Impact Development (LID) practices.
- Develop and evaluate erosion and sediment control plans for
construction and land development projects.
- Ensure projects comply with environmental regulations including
NPDES permits, MS4 requirements, and local stormwater
ordinances.
- Prepare construction documents, technical reports, and permit
applications.
- Collaborate with developers, contractors, regulatory agencies,
and internal stakeholders.
- Perform site inspections, assess field conditions, and recommend
corrective actions.
- Support public outreach and education related to stormwater and
erosion control initiatives.
- Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and
regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental
Engineering, or a related field (required).
- 3+ years of relevant experience in stormwater management and
erosion control (required).
- Master's degree or additional certifications preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within
6-12 months) preferred.
- Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) or
equivalent is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and stormwater modeling
software.
- Strong understanding of soil erosion processes, stormwater BMPs,
and construction site controls.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental
regulations.
