Responsibilities include: Providing accurate and clear sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events Supporting students accessibility to curriculum and school activities through effective communication Collaborating with teachers and educational staff to enhance understanding and engagement Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times Traveling within the Bronx area to serve multiple schools as required Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience Knowledge of educational terminology and context preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage travel responsibilities reliably throughout the assigned region Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus Location: This position requires travel within the Bronx, NY area to various schools.
