Assistants to join us this summer. Our Summer Art Camp program is
in need of energized, creative, and friendly people to support our
students and instructors this season. Please read more to learn
about this fun, exciting opportunity! POSITION: Summer Art Camp
Assistant The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) is
seeking individuals to serve as Camp Teaching Assistants for our
Summer Art Camp. The summer camp runs for 7 weeks from June 22
through August 7, 2026 . Week-long fun and imaginative sessions
give students a chance to learn new skills, create artwork and make
new friends in an experience managed and inspired by Camp
Instructors. Sessions are designed to appeal to all levels and
interests of young artists, ages 6 – 14 years. Camp Assistants must
be available for the full duration of the camp program and are
scheduled to work Monday through Friday. Camp Assistants will be
hired to work one of the following shifts for the duration of
service: Day Shift : 8:30am to 3:30pm; hour long lunch break
included Aftercare Shift : 2:30pm to 6:00pm Camp Assistants support
Camp Instructors and are responsible for: Providing in-classroom
teaching and management support. Helping to insure safe experience
for campers following Covid-19 guidelines. Maintaining Camper's
daily and weekly schedules by helping with arrivals, dismissals,
snacks, lunch, and breaks. Assisting with Canvas and Zoom if
needed. (Training will be provided if needed). Assist with
preparing for Friday art exhibitions on CANVA. (Training will be

Background checks, including Child Abuse Clearances and FBI
Clearances, are required for all PAFA staff working with minors, as
well as the completion of mandatory virtual staff training sessions
through Vector Solutions. Applicants with valid Child Abuse History
Clearances will have priority. Additional background checks may be
required and will be administered by PAFA. Requirements: Qualified
candidates should have prior experience in a classroom or teaching
setting working with children ages 6 to 14 on creative projects.
Availability to work the duration of camp is a must. Basic digital
image editing skills and familiarity with CANVA are plus.
