About the Company & Position - Senior Grant Accountant CFS is working with a stable nonprofit organization looking for a mission driven Senior Grant Accountant to join their team Their mission areas focus on ending hunger, housing services, survivor assistance programs, etc. Growing organization always looking for additional ways to help the community Respectful, diverse and inclusive team This is a hybrid position located in the Financial District in NYC Role Responsibilities - Senior Grant Accountant Maintain portfolio of grants Review financial reports and invoices prepared by the Grant Accountant Ensure timely and accurate submission to government funders and private foundations Prepare monthly journal entries to accrue grant revenue and expenses Collaborate internally with Program, Legal, and Development staff on various grants management functions Assist the Director of Budgets and Grants Management in the preparation of the annual budget, projections, etc Analyze the actual revenue and expenses incurred versus the budget for the period Preferred Qualifications - Senior Grant Accountant BA degree in Accounting Finance or a related field 3 years of grant experience Experience with MIP is a huge plus Proficient in Microsoft Excel
